Thought provoking The genetic engineering of the future lets parents choose their children’s personalities. The kick is that any personality trait comes with pluses and minuses: your child may be extremely driven but end up with no personal life; she may be a happy-go-lucky but have no ambition, etc. Presenting this so-called predicted life as a little movie, you elate and scare parents in equal measure. But can lives actually be predicted?Like an episode of Black Mirror A Gentleman in Moscow is one of my all time favorite books, so when I got the alert on my Kindle offering me a free read by Amor Towles, I downloaded it immediately thinking I would read the first bit and come back to it later. No chance of that. Read it straight through.Great Read This was my first experience with Towles and it certainly won't be my last. A very interesting addition to the Forward Collection and gave me some Fallout You're SPECIAL / G.O.A.T vibes. This is one that I will definitely listen to again as it was narrated by David Harbour (Stranger Things) and he did a phenomenal job.
